Our core business is desktop video conferencing and a key component of that is quality audio, so finding a reliable USB speakerphone was a critical to helping out customers get the most from our video conferencing service. We have tested a number of speakerphone devices that didn’t live up to our performance expectations, then we finally found the Phoenix Duet PCS which performed really well in the following areas:
1) Very robust echo cancellation, a number of the other products we tested echoed when physically moved or when located too close to the user
2) Powerful volume amplification
3) Simple USB ‘plug & play’ with no software to install.
4) Most importantly the Duet looks good J
The only suggestion for the Phoenix Duet PCS would be a shorter USB cable which would be useful for laptop users, but this is certainly not a show stopper.
Over 50 of our customers have been using the Duet over the past 3 months and the feedback has been great.
